#1 Michelle, what happened to Notre Dame (11-2) in the Fiesta Bowl, the Fighting Irish had a 21 point lead and let it slip away. The number one ranked team falls to the Oklahoma State Cowboys (12-2). The Cowboys roared back with 17 points in the third quarter and seven in the fourth to just edge the Fighting Irish 37-35.

#2 What a finish at the Rose Bowl on Saturday. With the Utah Utes (10-4) ahead in the first half the Ohio State Buckeyes (11-2). The Buckeyes rallied in the second half behind running back Jaxon Smith-Njigba who ran for 347 yards and scored three touchdowns. With Ohio State up 46-45 Buckeyes kicker Noah Ruggles hit a 19 yard field goal to get the Buckeyes up by four in the closing second for a 49-45 win.

#3 No.1 Alabama Crimson Tide gets a win over fourth ranked Cincinnati Bearcats 27-6. Alabama quarterback Bryce Young threw for 181 yards for three touchdowns and one interception. The Crimson Tide had a seven point first quarter and a ten point second quarter.

NCAAF podcast with Michelle Richardson: Michigan gets by Penn State; New Mexico St gets clobbered by Alabama; Cincinnati stays perfect

On the NCAAF podcast with Michelle:

#1 No.6 Michigan Wolverines (9-1) keep rolling this time they bested the Penn State (6-4) Nittany Lions 21-17.Michigan quarterback Cade McNamara was 19-29 for 217 yards, and three touchdowns. Good defense by the Wolverines held the Nittany Lions to two field goals in the first half while they scored a touchdown in each of the second, third, and fourth quarters.

#2 There was no mercy rule for the New Mexico State Aggies (1-9) who got crushed by the Alabama Crimson Tide (9-1) 59-3. The Aggies only bright spot in this one was they were able to shutout Alabama in the third quarter. The Crimson Tide used four passers in the game. Starter Bryce Young went 21-23 for 270 yards and five touchdowns.

#3 The No.5 Cincinnati Bearcats (10-0) maintained their perfect record taking to the South Florida Bulls (2-8) 45-28. The Bearcats kept pouring it on with 17 points in the second quarter and 14 points in the fourth quarter. Bearcats quarterback Desmond Ridder went 31-39 for 304 yards and two touchdowns.

NCAAF podcast with Michelle Richardson: Michigan State suffers first loss of season; Cincinnati stays perfect; Wake Forrest loses first game

On the NCAAF podcast with Michelle:

#1 Purdue Boilermakers (6-3) upsets No.3 Michigan State Spartans (8-1) with a 40-29 win on Saturday the Boilermakers quarterback Aidan O’Connell threw for 536 yards and three touchdowns. The loss was the Spartans first loss of the season Boilermakers and running back Kenneth Walker carried for 146 yards and one touchdown.

#2 Nov 6. Cincinnati Bearcats remain undefeated (9-0) with a 28-20 win Saturday against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. There were two fumbles near the goal line and Cincinnati was able to keep things in check for the win. Bearcats quarterback Desmond Ridder 15-23 for 274 yards and two touchdowns.

#3 The No. 10 Wake Forrest Demon Deacons (8-1) dropped their first game of the season to the North Carolina Tar Heels (5-4) 58-55. Wake Forrest had a 48-34 going into the fourth quarter. UNC rallied for 24 points in the fourth quarter getting a three point win in the end.

On the NCAA Football podcast with Michelle:

#1 Cincinnati’s Michael Warren II ran for a touchdown and caught quarterback Desmond Ridder’s pass for touchdown as the Bearcats defeated the UCLA Bruins 24-14.

#2 Clemson’s Travis Etienne carried for 205 yards and scored three touchdowns, including a 90-yard touchdown as the Tigers beat the Georgia Tech Bulldogs 52-14.

#3 What happened to Florida A&M? They got shutout on Thursday night Central Florida 62-0. It was like a walk-on came and did some serious damage. Transfer quarterback from Notre Dame Brandon Wimbush threw for 168 yards and two touchdowns and backup freshman quarterback Dillion Gabriel threw for three more touchdowns in a game that needed the mercy rule.
