#1 Ohio State hockey player Kamil Sadlocha hurled racial slurs toward Michigan Spartans hockey player Jagger Joshua multiple times during their two game series earlier this month on Nov 10 and Nov 11 at Michigan State. The specific slur was not given but an on ice official heard what Sadlocha was saying and hit him with a misconduct penalty. In the aftermath Ohio State has sent Sadlocha packing as he has left the school and went home for the rest of the year.
#2 It all went bad for the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football in Mexico City. First the Cardinals just got trashed by the San Francisco 49ers 38-10. Second the Cardinals were without their starting quarterback Kyler Murray and replacement quarterback Colt McCoy threw for only one touchdown and the Cardinals ended up firing their assistant offensive line coach Sean Kugler before when Mexican authorities reported to the Cardinals that Kugler had groped a woman. The Cardinals with the loss fell to 4-7.
#3 Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Tampa Bay Bucs quarterback Tom Brady plus a number of other celebrities who endorsed Cryptocurrency FTX are being sued for advertising fraud. Customers took the celebrities at their word that the Crypto exchange was a good investment until FTX founder Sam Bankman Fried said the company is filing bankruptcy which has lost between $8 to $12 billion in customer investments.
#4 Free agent Aaron Judge who played his last season with the New York Yankees in 2022 and turned down a $213.5 million seven year extension deal and met with San Francisco Giants brass on Tuesday in San Francisco. Judge could command as much as $400 million in a seven year deal. The Yankees are waiting on the sidelines to see what San Francisco offers and could very well match their offer.
#5 After former Cincinnati Red Pete Rose who earlier this month wrote an apology to Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred for gambling on baseball in the 1980s while manager of the Reds. MLB Today’s Game Committee is considering voting for steroid era players for Hall of Fane induction. To name a few Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa, Alex Rodriguez, Rafael Palmerio, and Jose Canseco could be elected into baseball’s Hall of Fame. Some say if the steroid era players get in Rose should be in the Hall with them.
