On the Sharks podcast with Len:

#1 Len, the game in Anaheim was postponed and the San Jose Sharks (15-14-1) will host the Arizona Coyotes (6-21-2) on Tuesday at SAP Center at 7:30 pm. The NHL decided to side on precaution and extend the Covid shutdown one more day.

#2 The New York Rangers are taking an interest in the Sharks Timo Meier. With the NHL’s third top scorer out Paul Buchnevich. Buchnevich is behind Nazem Kadri and Mikko Rantanen. It’s a high compliment to Meier as the Rangers are looking to fill some big skates in Buchnevich’s absence.

#3 The Rangers are looking to improve on offense and the Sharks are in sixth place at 15-14-1 they could see what the could get for Meier in a deal.

#4 Other Sharks that the Rangers or for that matter another NHL club could be interested in Tomas Hertl who will be a unrestricted free agent after this season, Evander Kane who is with the Sharks minor league affiliate the Barracuda, Erik Karlsson is having a good season but is 31 years old, Brent Burns is 36 with three years and $8 million left on his contract, Logan Couture at 32 and one year with a year left, and Marc-Edouard Vlasic 34 with four more years at $7 million. Who do you see the Sharks moving?

#5 The Coyotes who face off against the Sharks on Tuesday night won their first game in seven tries on Friday night by one goal 6-5 in overtime defeating the Anaheim Ducks (17-9-6). There will be those games when a struggling team will have a break out night. How do you see the Yotes and Sharks on Tuesday in San Jose?
