Stanford Cardinal basketball podcast with Joey Friedman: Young team finding each other scrapped to get last win; Face Kansas Saturday

#1 The Stanford Cardinal got only one win in three games in the Bahamas during last week’s Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament. Stanford got a second win in their last four games on Wednesday night back home at Maples Pavilion in a 79-69 over the Portland State Vikings.

#2 Down by four 14-10 with 12 minutes left in the first half the Cardinal rallied with a lay up by Lukas Kisunas, Cormac Ryan’s three-pointers, and Jaiden Delaire on a dunk for a 17-14 in the first half.

#3 The bench helped out for Stanford in the last five minutes of the first half to get the Cardinal up 30-23. It didn’t last long as the Portland State Vikings moved the ball on a 12-2 run and took a 35-34 one point lead at half time.

#4 In the back and forth game, the Cardinal were able to manage a 79-67 win.

#5 It’s off to Kansas for Saturday, Dec. 1st game against the Cardinal’s third meeting against a ranked school. Stanford is 0-2 against ranked opponents this season.
