Oakland A’s podcast with Jerry Feitelberg: Manaea had his best outing last Friday to start the series

May 27, 2017

MLB, Oakland Athletics

On the A’s podcast with Jerry:

Jerry goes over the performance of the A’s win in New York on Friday night as the A’s getting pitching help from starter Sean Manaea. On offense scoring two in the eighth and two again in the ninth to put them over the top with a three run win. Yankee starter Manshiro Tanaka pitched well enough to win with 13 strike outs. The A’s Stephen Vogt hit a home run. A’s starter Sean Manaea walked the first batter to start  Friday’s contest and later settled down and looked like he pitched the best game he had as an Oakland A.

Manaea pitched seven innings and struck out eight batters and gave up four hits. The A’s were able to hang on and get the win. They won five out of their last seven and they were 4-2 on their last homestand they took three out of four from Boston and they split with Miami. A’s starter Sonny Gray looked good in that start and Manaea looked good on Friday night.
